Social media has been flooded with reports of a large wildfire in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region. According to eyewitnesses, the fire covered about 150 hectares.
The Emergency Situations Department of the Tashkent region has issued an official statement. According to the department, on July 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM, a report was received about dry grass and branches catching fire in the Chuvildik mahalla.
Emergency response teams arrived at the scene at 1:45 PM. Thanks to the measures taken, the fire was completely extinguished by 3:20 PM. No casualties were reported.
Specialists are currently working to determine the exact cause of the fire and assess the material damage. The extreme heat is believed to have contributed to the rapid spread of the flames.
