Starting July 15, the Tashkent Metro has temporarily reduced train speed on surface lines from 60 km/h to 40 km/h due to abnormal heat. The restriction is in effect daily until 6:00 PM.

The decision was made because rail temperatures exceeded the permissible limit of 55°C, according to the metro authority. The measure is aimed at ensuring passenger safety.

As a result, train intervals may increase, and waiting times could reach up to 14 minutes. The speed limit applies only to surface sections and does not affect underground lines.
