Uzbekistan's women's boxing team (under 19) has emerged victorious at the Asian Youth Boxing Championship in Jakarta. Despite competing in only eight out of ten weight categories, the team secured enough medals to claim the top spot.

In the Indonesian capital, the Uzbek squad won four gold and two silver medals. The Asian champions are Sabrina Chakomanova (up to 54 kg), Sevara Mamatova (up to 60 kg), Rushanabonu Isoeva (up to 65 kg), and Samira Turgunova (up to 75 kg).

Silver medals were earned by Nazokat Mardonova (up to 51 kg) and Maftuna Yangieva (up to 70 kg). The National Olympic Committee highlighted that even with participation in only eight categories, the team was named the best of the tournament.

Currently, the Asian Championship continues with finals for athletes aged up to 23. Earlier, Uzbek female athletes won five medals at the Asian Wrestling Championship in Thailand.
