All state and private kindergartens in the Fergana region have temporarily suspended operations on July 16-17. The institutions will resume their usual activities from July 20, according to the regional Department of Preschool and School Education.

A similar restriction has been imposed in Bukhara from July 15 to 17 for all kindergartens.

"This temporary restriction is a preventive measure aimed solely at ensuring the health and safety of our children," the Bukhara regional administration said in a statement.

Earlier, starting July 13, state and private kindergartens in Nukus city and eight districts of Karakalpakstan were temporarily closed due to hot weather.

Subsequently, restrictions were also introduced in the Navoi and Khorezm regions.

According to Uzhydromet, from July 13 to 17, a very hot air mass from the south is entering Uzbekistan. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach +41…+43°C, and up to +44…+46°C in the north, south, and desert areas.
