Law enforcement officers and rescuers in the Zangiata district of Tashkent region averted a potential tragedy. A man who climbed to the 10th floor of a shopping complex and was about to jump was safely brought down from the building.

Footage of the incident had earlier appeared on social media, showing a person at height, apparently intending to jump from the multi-story building.

According to the regional police department, the incident occurred on June 14 at around 22:20. Upon receiving the report, officers from the district internal affairs department, the prosecutor's office, and emergency services arrived at the scene.

Specialists established contact with the man and persuaded him to abandon his fatal step. He was brought down from the 10th floor without any injuries.

It was later revealed that the rescued individual is a 36-year-old resident of the 'Chambil' mahalla in Chirakchi district, Kashkadarya region. According to law enforcement, the man is registered with a psychoneurological dispensary.

Necessary documents were filed regarding the incident. The man has now been sent to a specialized medical facility to receive the required care.
