According to a source from Kun.uz, Abdusalom Usmanov has been dismissed from his position as Chairman of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan.
Usmanov had held the post since December 2020. Prior to his appointment, he served as Deputy Chairman of the State Security Service.
This personnel change marks a significant shift within the Uzbek government structure. The State Security Service is one of the most powerful and secretive agencies in the country.
The source added that a new chairman is expected to be appointed, but no official information has been released yet.
Experts suggest that such reshuffles may be part of broader renewal processes within the state apparatus.
