Uzbekistan, Tashkent — AN Podrobno.uz. Amid extremely high air temperatures, authorities urge abandoning mass outdoor work during the day and strictly observing safety measures. Additional requirements for organizing work in open areas have been introduced.

The State Labor Inspectorate warns that prolonged exposure to the scorching sun can lead to heat stroke, dehydration, and serious disruptions to the body's functions.

According to Article 359 of the Labor Code and sanitary norms, air temperatures of 36 degrees Celsius and above are considered dangerous for outdoor work. In this regard, employers are strongly advised not to hold hashars (community work), mass labor events, or other collective work between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

All necessary work should be rescheduled to safer times — early morning or evening after 5:00 PM. If work cannot be postponed, a special regime must be introduced: reduce working hours, alternate work and rest, provide employees with drinking water, shade, protective equipment, and first aid kits.

Special attention should be paid to workers' health. At the first signs of deteriorating health, the person must be immediately relieved from work and receive medical assistance.

The inspectorate also reminded that violation of labor protection laws and creation of conditions threatening the life and health of workers entails liability under Uzbekistan's legislation.

In addition, the need for medical control is emphasized. Employees who have not undergone mandatory medical examinations are not allowed to work in heat conditions. If necessary, employers are advised to organize additional health checks.
