In the Khorezm region, a ceremony was held with the participation of the president to launch 12 new projects worth $176 million and begin construction of 15 promising facilities totaling $7.424 billion. The event took place at the Farovon Khiva Hotel in Khiva.

According to the presidential press service, over the past 9 years, $7.5 billion in investments have been attracted to the region, 9,700 new capacities have been commissioned, and more than 33 trillion soums in loans have been directed to small and medium-sized business projects. In the tourism sector, the hotel fund has increased 4-fold, and the number of foreign tourists has grown 10-fold over the past 5 years. While foreign investment amounted to $30 million in 2016, this figure is expected to exceed $2 billion by 2026.

On the eve of Independence Day, an electrified railway line from Urgench International Airport to Khiva was put into operation. Additionally, the country's first toll road, Urgench–Khiva, is being launched, reducing travel time from 45 to 20 minutes.

Among the new projects is the production of eco-friendly aviation fuel in the Tuprokkala district in partnership with UAE partners and the Chinese company Sinopec, worth $6 billion. Together with Slovak partners, a bioethanol production facility is planned for $170 million.

In Urgench, a hotel and shopping and entertainment complex worth $30 million is being built with Japanese investors, and a modern boiler house with a Saudi partner. In the Urgench district, a waste recycling project worth $100 million is being implemented with Korean investors.

Near Khiva, a tourist complex called "Sahro Yulduzi" will be created for $120 million. Additionally, a copper industry cluster, fiber-optic cable production, the Al-Khwarizmi University for 5,000 students, and an "Investors' House" are planned. The implementation of these projects will create 6,600 new jobs.
