Tashkent, September 5. The Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) and the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan (PDPT) have signed a memorandum of cooperation. The ceremony took place in the Uzbek capital during a meeting with a Tajik delegation led by PDPT First Deputy Chairman Maliksho Nematzoda.

The document provides for establishing a permanent inter-party dialogue, exchanging experience in lawmaking, and developing ties between deputies and representatives of local authorities of the two countries.

Under the agreement, the parties plan to implement joint initiatives to support entrepreneurship, develop innovations, and strengthen contacts between youth and women's organizations.

To implement the outlined plans, it is planned to form joint working groups, hold regular forums, consultations, and thematic meetings.

Party representatives emphasized that inter-party interaction is based on the Treaty on Allied Relations, which entered into force in March 2025, and the agreements of the leaders of the two states, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon, to deepen strategic partnership.
