TASHKENT, Uzbekistan – AN Podrobno.uz. Over the past week, Uzbekistan has repatriated 11 minors who, for various reasons, were left without parental care abroad. Nine children arrived from Russia, and two more were brought from Kazakhstan.

A working group comprising representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the National Agency for Social Protection under the President, and the Office of the Children's Ombudsman coordinated the repatriation efforts. All necessary issues were resolved in cooperation with the relevant authorities of Russia and Kazakhstan.

Upon their return, specialists are helping the children reintegrate into normal life. Conditions are being created to restore their violated rights and legitimate interests, return them to a family environment, and provide necessary social services and support.

Further adaptation and monitoring of the children will be carried out with the participation of the 'Inson' centers, which will take on social support for families at their place of residence.

The authorities continue their work to bring back minors who find themselves abroad without parental care.

Earlier, a minor citizen of Uzbekistan detained in Moscow was also returned to his homeland.
