The House-Museum of the outstanding composer Yunus Rajabi in Tashkent is closing for renovation starting September 14. Over the next eight months, specialists will conduct an inventory of collections, repair and modernize the building.

During this period, a comprehensive set of repair and restoration works will be carried out to preserve the historical site and create modern conditions for its future operation. The project includes upgrading heating and cooling systems, engineering communications, and creating comfortable conditions for visitors.

Special attention will be paid to the exposition: after the renovation, it will be completely updated and brought in line with modern museum standards. The museum will reopen its doors to visitors on May 30, 2027.

Recall that earlier, after a large-scale renovation, the State Historical Museum of Uzbekistan, founded in 1876 and considered the oldest in the country, resumed operations.
