Uzbekistan is experiencing a sharp rise in popularity among Russian travelers. According to tour operators, demand for trips to the country has grown by up to 65% compared to the same period last year. This indicates that the destination is becoming one of the most sought-after on the Russian tourism market.

Data from the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RUTI) shows that Russians are mainly booking classic excursion routes and short city tours. The most popular programs are seven to eight days long, typically covering Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. Beyond architecture and historical sites, tourists are showing interest in local cuisine, traditional crafts, and the region's culture.

The destination's popularity is also supported by convenient air connections: both local and Russian airlines operate flights to Uzbekistan. However, the price factor remains significant. A five-day tour for two people, excluding travel costs, starts at 76,800 rubles. A one-week program costs at least 100,900 rubles, while a ten-day trip starts at 153,500 rubles.

Recall that Uzbekistan plans to expand the list of security services for tourists. In particular, foreign guests, official delegations, and business representatives may be offered bodyguard accompaniment. This measure aims to enhance visitor safety and attract high-profile guests.
