Uzbek Foreign Minister Baxtiyor Saidov held phone conversations with his counterparts from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

In talks with Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, they discussed the situation on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. Saidov emphasized the importance of maintaining calm and preventing further escalation.

During a call with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, similar issues were addressed. The minister highlighted the need for dialogue to ensure stability.

Recall that on February 27, Pakistan conducted airstrikes in Afghanistan. Uzbekistan's Foreign Ministry had earlier expressed deep concern over the escalating situation and called for an immediate ceasefire.
