The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has expressed serious concern over the sharp escalation of the situation in the Middle East and the emergence of a new conflict situation in the broader region.

The country is calling on all parties to exercise restraint. The MFA statement said: "We urge refraining from further steps that could lead to a dangerous escalation with unpredictable consequences not only in military-political but also humanitarian terms."

The ministry emphasized that resolving the crisis based on international law norms, through political-diplomatic means and mutually acceptable dialogue is appropriate.

Uzbekistan affirmed its consistent support for strengthening regional stability and security, adding that it hopes for a swift normalization of the situation.
