A Tashkent court has concluded the retrial of a high-profile road accident involving a Lixiang L9 and a BYD Song in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district. After the previous ruling was overturned by the appellate instance of the Tashkent City Court, the district criminal court found the 26-year-old driver of the Lixiang L9 guilty.

According to the court decision, the driver was convicted under Part 4 of Article 128-3 (exceeding the speed limit by more than 60 km/h), Article 133 (infliction of minor bodily injury or significant material damage), and Part 1 of Article 135-1 (violation of mandatory insurance requirements) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. Applying Article 34 of the code, the offender was fined a final sum of 6 million 180 thousand soums.

During the hearing, it was noted that the material damage caused to the victim was fully compensated by the driver at fault. Interested parties were explained their right to file a civil lawsuit to recover other material and moral damages, as well as the procedure for appealing the court decision.

The accident occurred on September 30, 2025, at around 01:00 on Mustaqillik Avenue. The force of the collision caused the Lixiang L9 to crash into a road barrier and break apart, sparking widespread discussion on social media.
