Uzbekistan and Russia discussed improving the mechanisms for the organized recruitment of citizens traveling to work in Russia, as well as organizing key pre-departure procedures directly on the territory of the republic. These topics were addressed at a meeting between the Director of the Migration Agency, Muhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Uzbekistan, Alexey Erkhov.

During the talks, it was proposed to create a comprehensive center based on the "all processes in one place" principle. At such a center, it is planned to conduct pre-departure testing, medical examinations, biometrics, fingerprinting, and document verification. This is expected to significantly reduce the time and financial costs for citizens.

To reduce the time and financial costs for citizens associated with traveling to Tashkent to take Russian language exams, the issue of organizing these procedures in the regions was raised. For this purpose, the necessary infrastructure has already been prepared in 4 regions of the republic. This step aims to decentralize processes and make services more accessible for migrants.

The main goal of the proposed mechanism is to ensure that labor migrants, even before departure, clearly know their place of work, the enterprise, and working conditions, have all necessary documents processed in advance, and are sent to Russia legally at the request of a specific employer. This should help reduce illegal migration and protect workers' rights.

The parties confirmed their interest in further developing cooperation in the migration sphere, noting the importance of joint efforts to streamline labor flows.
