Professor Kongratbay Avezimbetovich Sharipov has been appointed Rector of the Tashkent State University of Economics (TSUE), according to an official statement issued by the university's press service.

Prior to this academic leadership appointment, Sharipov held the post of Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Over the course of his administrative career, he played an active role in restructuring tertiary education mechanisms and supporting scientific research programs.

The appointment follows a recent presidential decree ordering the consolidation of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations into a single, unified Ministry of Education and Science. This institutional reorganization has prompted significant managerial and administrative reshuffles across Uzbekistan's educational landscape.
