A disturbing incident involving the abduction and severe assault of a minor has triggered a criminal investigation in Uzbekistan's Bukhara region. According to the country's Children's Ombudsman, a local resident, aided by relatives and acquaintances, forcibly detained and assaulted a 17-year-old boy who had arrived to meet his daughter.
The incident unfolded on August 28 when a local citizen, identified as E.R., confronted the underage victim, E.O. (born in 2009), who had come to see E.R.'s daughter, O.D. Against the youth's will, the man forced him into a vehicle and transported him to the residence of a relative, F.F., where a group of individuals proceeded to brutally beat the teenager.
A forensic medical examination conducted during the preliminary inquiry confirmed that the victim sustained multiple injuries across various parts of his body, officially documenting the severity of the bodily harm inflicted upon him.
On September 7, law enforcement authorities formally launched a criminal case against E.R. and F.F. under Article 137, Part 2, Clauses 'a' and 'v' (Kidnapping of a minor by a group of persons) and Article 105, Part 2 (Intentional infliction of moderate bodily injury) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. The district prosecutor's office is currently leading the preliminary investigation, with the case under direct monitoring by the Children's Ombudsman.
