Law enforcement agencies in the Almazar district of Tashkent are currently investigating alarming reports regarding the alleged abuse of a teenage girl who was living with a man in an informal religious marriage. According to preliminary data provided by officials, the suspect reportedly subjected the minor to physical violence and committed sexual acts against her, resulting in various injuries.

Representatives of the National Agency for Social Protection stated that the religious union was established on August 28, 2025, after which the individuals began cohabiting. At present, officers from the Almazar district internal affairs department are conducting a pre-investigation inquiry. A comprehensive legal assessment of the incident will be provided once all underlying circumstances are fully clarified.

In response to the situation, specialists from the 'Inson' social services center alongside police personnel recently met with the victim and her aunt. Authorities emphasize that the primary objectives are to guarantee the safety of the minor, safeguard her legal rights, and help stabilize her psychological well-being following the traumatic events.

Furthermore, a protective restraining order has been officially issued to shield the victim from potential harassment and recurrent abuse. The National Agency of Social Protection assured the public that the situation remains under strict oversight, with necessary support measures being deployed. This incident follows another high-profile case in the Andijan region, where a man in a religious union brutally attacked his disabled spouse.
