As a result of joint coordinated operations between the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and Turkey, two Uzbek citizens who had been evading international justice for years were successfully apprehended in the city of Istanbul.
According to official reports, one of the detained individuals, identified as F.F.N., had been wanted since 2017 under Article 164, Part 3 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to armed robbery. The suspect allegedly managed to evade authorities for nearly nine years.
Additionally, another fugitive, A.M.A., was located and detained during the operation. He had been placed on the international wanted list on charges of fraud under Article 168, Part 3 of the Criminal Code. Both individuals have been duly extradited and handed over to the competent authorities of Uzbekistan.
Investigative and procedural actions regarding the detained suspects are currently ongoing as law enforcement agencies continue to examine the full scope of their alleged criminal activities.
