President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan has issued a strict directive requiring the country's ambassadors abroad to secure at least one investor each month. This new performance metric is aimed at accelerating capital inflow, specifically targeting the ambitious urban development initiative known as New Tashkent.

The head of state emphasized that business figures and investors committing capital to New Tashkent must be granted preferential treatment and comprehensive support to facilitate their projects without unnecessary bureaucratic friction. According to the administration, creating a favorable business climate is paramount for regional growth.

"Who are we doing this for? For entrepreneurs. What for? To simplify our path, increase incomes, and create conditions for you," Mirziyoyev stated during the strategic briefing.

As previously announced, investors injecting more than 50 million dollars into non-residential construction projects within New Tashkent will benefit from a package of state incentives. Notably, the government will cover the costs associated with obtaining green building certifications and assign a dedicated personal manager to assist each investor throughout the project lifecycle.
