President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has presided over a high-level meeting dedicated to priorities in labor migration, instructing officials to implement comprehensive support measures for private employment agencies.
During the session, it was highlighted that simplifying licensing procedures over the past two years has tripled the number of active private employment agencies. Consequently, the volume of citizens securing jobs abroad through these intermediaries has reportedly multiplied fivefold.
Under the new directives, the authority to dispatch citizens for overseas employment will be entirely delegated to the most reliable private agencies next year. For every individual successfully placed in a high-paying job, agencies will receive a financial incentive of 1.5 million soms. *
To enhance professional and language training for the youth, portions of technical school facilities will be provided on a free rental basis. Furthermore, the social tax rate for foreign instructors and experts will be reduced to 1 percent, while educational equipment will be exempted from custom duties.
The authorities noted that private agencies will operate within a fully transparent framework and undergo evaluation based on a strict rating system. Key performance indicators will focus on actual job placement, protection of workers' rights, and guaranteed social security.
