Authorities in Uzbekistan have reportedly designated the first 50 land plots intended for foreign investors interested in participating in the ambitious New Tashkent development projects. These stakeholders are allegedly to be provided with comprehensive proposals outlining specific locations, project implementation potentials, preliminary economic calculations, and newly introduced incentives, according to statements from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Reports indicate that Uzbek diplomatic missions abroad have been tasked with proactively familiarizing international investors with the vast opportunities available within the New Tashkent zone. Furthermore, government ministers are purportedly required to present these development projects during every scheduled meeting with foreign partners and major corporations, actively urging them to engage in collaborative efforts.
The president supposedly emphasized that such investment proposals must not remain mere paperwork. In his view, authorities need to deliver fully prepared projects directly to investors, complete with designated land plots, finalized economic assessments, and strict implementation timelines to ensure accountability. The leadership previously stated a pressing need to accelerate the construction of the new urban area and stimulate private investment inflows. According to official assessments, the current pace of business participation in the project reportedly falls short of the region's actual capacity and available economic potential.
