According to the official press service of the Navoi region administration, a leadership change has taken place in the regional capital. Bobir Khusnidinovich Islomov has been officially appointed to the position of mayor of Navoi city and has assumed his new duties.

Biographical records indicate that Bobir Islomov was born in 1981 in the Navbahor district of the Navoi region. Throughout his professional education, he graduated from several higher institutions, including the Navoi State Mining Institute in 2003, the Bukhara Technological Institute of Food and Light Industry in 2005, and the Higher Business School in 2012.

Prior to his recent appointment, Islomov served as the first deputy chairman of the board for electrical grid operations at the joint-stock company "Hududiy Elektr Tarmoqlari," where he gained considerable managerial experience within the energy sector.

In his new role, Islomov replaces Dilmurod Ergashev, who had been serving as the mayor since July 2023. Authorities have not yet disclosed the subsequent career placement or the new position of the former official.
