A severe accident occurred on September 10 along Sadriddin Aini Street in Chirchiq, Tashkent Region, when a heavy semi-trailer transporting agricultural combines detached from a truck. The massive 20-meter structure rolled backward down a steep slope, crashing directly into the private residence of elderly residents Gulbi Turdikulova and Abduvali Berdibekov.
The impact severely damaged the brick perimeter, structural walls, and roof of the house, destroying furniture and appliances while rupturing the outdoor gas pipeline, leaving the household without gas service for weeks. The elderly couple narrowly escaped fatal injuries as the husband had just stepped away from the main living area and the wife was out shopping.
More than a month after the incident, the family reports that they have received neither an official damage assessment nor any definitive accountability from the authorities. While local administration and investigative bodies claim that inquiries are ongoing, the victims have been left without financial compensation or practical assistance.
The intended recipient of the machinery, AgroTech Klaster, stated that the transportation was handled by an external Chinese logistics contractor, shifting responsibility despite offering superficial help that failed to satisfy the family's legal safety requirements. Consequently, the elderly couple has been forced to initiate makeshift repairs on their own.
