Authorities in Uzbekistan have announced the extension of deadlines for paying tuition fees and finalizing student admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year until November 1. This adjustment is reportedly intended to accommodate students and their families facing logistical and financial hurdles during the enrollment period.
Under the updated guidelines, students are required to pay at least 25 percent of the annual baseline tuition fee, or a minimum of 50 percent for differentiated contract programs, by the newly established November deadline. These provisions apply universally to newly admitted undergraduate and graduate students, as well as those transferring or reinstating their academic status.
Furthermore, officials reminded the public of a newly introduced support mechanism aimed at the children of teaching staff. Specifically, the European-style welfare adaptation grants a 30 percent reimbursement of the annual contract amount for children of educators pursuing full-time undergraduate studies at state-run higher education institutions.
To benefit from this financial assistance program, eligible applicants are required to submit their formal requests through the dedicated online portal kontrakt.edu.uz. The digital framework is allegedly designed to streamline administrative procedures and enhance transparency across the higher education sector.
