Today, October 17, residents in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent experienced temporary electricity disconnections due to ongoing maintenance works at a local transformer substation. Utility crews reportedly initiated the preventive measures with the objective of completing the technical overhaul before 17:00.

According to statements released by the district administration, the power restrictions impacted several residential thoroughfares, specifically Tabassum, Tabibiy, Ohangrabo, and Fergana Yuli streets. Additionally, the disruption extended to the immediate vicinity of secondary school No. 215, causing localized inconvenience for students and staff.

Local authorities formally apologized to the affected citizens for the disruptions, claiming that the infrastructure upgrades are supposedly designed to foster a more stable and secure energy supply network. Officials insist that such interventions are necessary to guarantee long-term household comfort, even as residents cope with immediate service interruptions.
