The Central Military District of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan hosted the second stage of the military competition titled "Best Group in the Combat Use of Drones." Alongside operational tactical tests, service members also went head-to-head in high-speed drone racing.

The event, held on October 19, brought together specialized drone operator units from the Jizzakh, Samarkand, and Navoi garrisons. Servicemen demonstrated their skills in precision piloting, rapid obstacle navigation, real-time target identification, and emergency scenario response under simulated combat conditions.

Defense officials highlighted that district-level exercises are pivotal for fostering inter-regional technical knowledge sharing and standardizing advanced technological capabilities across the armed forces.

The contest is part of a broader national initiative established by presidential decree to advance drone technology, robotics, and cyber disciplines within the military. The competitive program spans three phases: preliminary departmental rounds in August, military district stages in October, and the final "Minister of Defense Cup" scheduled for December.
