Law enforcement authorities in Bukhara have apprehended two individuals suspected of manufacturing and distributing synthetic narcotic substances. During a series of coordinated operational measures, a total of 10 kilograms and 850 grams of the synthetic drug known as 'spice' was confiscated from circulation.
According to reports from the State Security Service, the clandestine drug laboratory was uncovered through a joint operation conducted alongside the Customs Committee. The illicit facility was allegedly tied to an underground online drug distribution network operating within the region. *
Investigators claim that two residents of the Jondor district, aged 27 and 29, acted as a 'warehouse keeper' and a 'chemist' for the internet-based syndicate. They purportedly set up a production and distribution hub for synthetic drugs inside an apartment located in a multi-story residential building in the regional center.
A search of the apartment, conducted in the presence of attesting witnesses, yielded 6 kilograms and 650 grams of 'spice', alongside SIM cards, respirators, protective gloves, zip-lock bags, electronic scales, and a large quantity of tobacco products seized as material evidence.
Operational activities further extended to the Kagan district, where authorities inspected hidden stashes allegedly prepared by the suspects. An additional 4 kilograms and 200 grams of 'spice', broken down for future distribution, were recovered and documented in accordance with procedural norms.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. The suspects have been placed in pretrial detention as the investigation continues to uncover further details.
