As of January 1, 2026, the Republic of Uzbekistan operated a total of 8,912 outpatient and polyclinic facilities providing medical care to patients who do not require hospitalization. According to official statistical data, 5,929 of these entities, accounting for 66.5 percent of the total number, belong to small business entities.

The highest concentration of polyclinics and outpatient clinics was registered in the capital city of Tashkent, with 1,238 similar medical organizations. The top three leading regions also included the Fergana and Samarkand regions, operating 1,098 and 860 institutions respectively.

The lowest figures were recorded in the Syrdarya region with 226 outpatient facilities, the Jizzakh region with 298 clinics, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where 379 institutions are currently operational. * Note that the World Bank is reportedly preparing a $100 million program aimed at reforming primary healthcare in the Samarkand region. The initiative purportedly envisions improving conditions in family polyclinics, training medical personnel, and digitalizing the healthcare sector.
