Temporary power outages are scheduled to take place on October 30 across various streets in eight districts of the Uzbek capital. The disruptions are expected to last from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, impacting local residents and routine operations in the affected zones.
According to the Tashkent city branch of the regional electric grid enterprise, these temporary suspensions are part of routine maintenance and preparation work ahead of the upcoming autumn-winter heating and energy season.
The affected areas include the «Meros» neighborhood in the Yakkasaray district, «Katta Qorasuv» in Mirzo Ulugbek, «Ibn Sino» in Shaykhontohur, «Chamanzor» in Uchtepa, and the «Chilonzor» neighborhood in the Chilonzor district.
Additionally, power cuts will affect several communities in the Bektemir district (such as «Abay», «Sohil», «Chashma», «Nurli Yol», and «Musaffo»), the Olmazor district («Sebzor», «Yangi Sebzor», «Ahil», and «Umid»), as well as the «Chinor» neighborhood in Yashnobod.
Utility authorities claim that these preventive measures are necessary to avert potential emergency breakdowns within the aging electrical grids and to secure a more stable supply of electricity for consumers moving forward.
Officials noted that the repair works might be completed ahead of schedule if conditions permit. The regional branch has formally apologized to consumers for any temporary inconveniences caused by the disruption.
