Utilizing the knowledge and expertise of youth educated abroad to drive national development, alongside aligning scholarship programs with economic demands, is highlighted as a critical objective in human capital enhancement. In line with these goals, the international «Global Talent Forum» has commenced its sessions in Samarkand on October 29-30, focusing heavily on integrating young professionals into the country's progressive trajectory.
The large-scale event is organized by the «El-yurt umidi» Foundation under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The National Bank of Uzbekistan (NBU) acts as the general partner of the forum, while the international non-governmental non-profit organization «Uzbekistan’s Club» serves as the strategic partner. Additional partners include MKBANK, Xalq Bank, Agrobank, Uzbekistan Airways JSC, and PEPSI.
The prestigious conference has gathered prominent representatives from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Turkish Higher Education Council, the Institute of International Education (IIE), the Bolashaq program, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the British Council, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Education USA.
According to data provided by the «El-yurt umidi» Foundation, nearly 500 young individuals have been awarded the Presidential Scholarship through recent selection processes, with 80 percent of them successfully admitted to universities ranked in the global Top 100. The forum emphasizes evaluating the outcomes of such educational programs and maximizing the utilization of foreign-educated personnel within Uzbekistan.
The comprehensive agenda features dedicated sessions on the role of financial institutions in human capital development, discussions on prospective decade-long partnerships, and direct meetings with employers. Furthermore, a special networking session titled «Samarkand Tea Time» is scheduled for October 30, allowing participants to exchange professional experiences and innovative initiatives.
