During the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) summit held in Ankara, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan reportedly put forward a proposal to establish cooperation mechanisms with third countries. The initiative aims to broaden the international footprint of the organization.

According to the Uzbek leader, the global standing of the bloc purportedly relies on its capacity to foster mutually beneficial relations with external partners. To achieve this, he suggested launching a cooperation framework titled "Organization of Turkic States Plus," initiating the process through sectoral ministerial meetings.

The proposed dialogues are allegedly intended to drive concrete joint projects across critical sectors, including commerce, logistics, and investments. The president emphasized the necessity of aligning strategic goals and reinforcing solidarity among member states.

Meanwhile, the broader geopolitical dynamics within the bloc remain complex, especially following previous controversial suggestions by Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev regarding the potential inclusion of external observers such as Russia into the Turkic integration processes.
