The regional stages of the 'Business Woman – 2026' competition, organized on the initiative of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan within the framework of the 'Together with the People' nationwide program, continue across the country, with the latest event taking place in the Fergana region.

According to reports, the initial neighborhood stage of the contest covered 2,017 local communities in the region, drawing participation from over 10,000 enterprising women. During this process, talented women who have launched their own businesses, implemented new projects, and created local jobs were reportedly identified. The regional stage allowed entrepreneurs, artisans, and female farmers to showcase their activities and exchange experiences.

During the event, participant Ra’no Botaboyeva allegedly stated that she has provided permanent employment to over 70 women and enabled more than 30 others to earn income from home through handicraft work. She also claimed to pay special attention to supporting mothers raising children with disabilities, highlighting the supposed availability of favorable conditions for female entrepreneurship.

At the conclusion of the event, active participants were awarded certificates of appreciation and valuable gifts from the party. While organizers claim such initiatives significantly boost female employment and neighborhood economies, critics point out ongoing structural challenges and funding difficulties faced by independent female entrepreneurs in remote areas.
