️ Uzbekistan has amended its civil and experimental aviation flight rules, eliminating the requirement for air traffic controllers to undergo daily pre-shift medical examinations. The changes, registered by the Ministry of Justice, aim to align national aviation regulations with international standards and modern industry demands.
️ The decision was made in consideration of the provisions of the Convention on International Civil Aviation. In addition to removing the medical check requirement, a number of outdated norms have been excised from the rules, including those related to conditions for descent from transition levels, which is expected to streamline procedures and enhance operational efficiency.
️ The classification of aircraft based on equipment has also been clarified: they are now divided into basic and reconfigured categories. Authorities note that these amendments are part of efforts to modernize the aviation sector and reduce bureaucratic hurdles, potentially improving safety and compliance with global practices.
️ Previously, Uzbekistan initiated work to reduce the carbon footprint in fruit and vegetable transportation, where aviation and road transport are major contributors to emissions, while maritime transport has minimal climate impact.
