Israeli warplanes targeted more than 10 towns and villages in southern Lebanon, even as the ceasefire between Iran and the United States appears to be holding despite naval skirmishes near the Strait of Hormuz.

On Saturday, Israel killed at least 24 people in a wave of attacks, despite a ceasefire that took effect last month. Local sources report civilian casualties among the dead.

Meanwhile, Washington is awaiting Tehran’s response to its latest proposal to end the US-Israel war on Iran, which entered its 72nd day on Sunday. The Israeli regime continues to escalate military operations against Lebanon.

Experts warn that Israel's strikes on Lebanon risk undermining the ceasefire and further destabilizing the region. The UN and other international bodies have called for restraint from all parties.
