Iran's army has threatened to 'open new fronts' in its conflict with the US and Israel if new attacks occur. Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia told state news agency ISNA that if the enemy 'falls into the Zionist trap again and launches new aggression against our beloved Iran, we will open new fronts against it, with new equipment and new methods.'

The US State Department on Wednesday announced the release of an Iranian citizen with US permanent residency from an Iranian prison. A State Department spokesperson said, 'The State Department happily welcomes the safe return of Shahab Dalili from his detention in Iran. Iran should immediately release all those unjustly detained in Iran.'

According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Dalili was arrested in 2016 while visiting Iran for his father's funeral and served 10 years on charges of 'cooperating with a hostile government,' which he denied.

The State Department said President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio 'will continue to work for the release of all unjustly detained Americans.'

Chinese President Xi Jinping warned that further hostilities in the region would be 'inadvisable' while hosting Russian President Vladimir Putin. Meanwhile, Israel continued strikes on Lebanon, killing 19 and wounding dozens.
