US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that 'all hell will rain down' if it attempts to obtain a nuclear weapon, and issued unusually critical remarks against Israel's military offensive in Lebanon during his visit to the G7 summit in France.

Trump stated that the ceasefire deal with Iran ensures the country 'can't have a nuclear weapon' or 'they get blown up'. He called the agreement 'a wall to a nuclear weapon' and claimed Iran now has 'rational leadership', with previous 'totally irrational' leaders now gone.

The memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran is set to be formally signed in Geneva on Friday, after which both sides will have 60 days to negotiate a final agreement. Trump said the second phase of negotiations 'should be actually easier'.

Trump reacted angrily on Sunday after Israeli attacks on Beirut threatened to derail delicate negotiations with Iran, posting on Truth Social that the attack 'should not have happened'. On Tuesday, he said he had a 'great relationship' with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu but that the Israeli leader 'has to be more responsible with respect to Lebanon'.

Trump criticized Israel's fight against Hezbollah as going on 'too long' with 'too many people being killed'. He suggested Israel let Syria handle Hezbollah, claiming they would 'do a better job'. When asked if the US-Iran deal could survive further Israeli attacks in Lebanon, Trump answered affirmatively, calling Hezbollah a 'little pinprick'.
