China has completed the construction of the world's largest integrated solar-hydrogen power plant in Jiangsu Province. The project was carried out by China Energy Investment Corp.

The facility includes a 400 MW solar power plant, a 60 MW/120 MWh energy storage system, a green hydrogen production unit with an annual capacity of 482 tons, and a 220 kV substation.

A special submarine cable directly connects the solar installation to the hydrogen unit. Excess energy during peak generation periods is directed to electrolysis. According to the company, the plant will generate about 468 GWh per year, enough to supply nearly 200,000 households.

Earlier it was reported that after reaching full capacity, Uzbekistan's first nuclear power plant will generate about 15.4 billion kWh per year, covering more than 15% of the republic's total electricity consumption.
