A freight train derailed in the northern Munich district of Milbertshofen early on June 20, resulting in one fatality. According to Reuters, two freight trains collided, causing two carriages to fall from a railway bridge onto the street below.

Around 60 rescue workers were dispatched to the scene. One person was seriously injured and taken to hospital, where they later died. Preliminary reports indicate that the fallen carriages were empty and did not contain hazardous materials.

The road under the bridge has been closed, and the cause of the accident is under investigation. Earlier, it was reported that the head of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region in Tajikistan died in a road accident.
