The Indian Embassy in Doha confirmed on Friday that the mortal remains of four of the 12 Indian nationals killed in last week's explosion at Qatar's Ras Laffan industrial hub have been repatriated to India.

The blast occurred on June 21 at the Barzan gas processing facility, killing 13 people in total, including 12 Indians. Qatari authorities described the incident as a "technical accident."

Sixty-six people were also injured in the explosion, which is one of the deadliest gas industry accidents in Qatar in over two decades. The embassy stated it is working to repatriate the remaining bodies soon and is in touch with the families of the deceased.

Additionally, the embassy is coordinating with Indian nationals who were wounded in the incident to ensure they receive necessary medical care and support.
