In Mukdahan province, Thailand, a tragic incident occurred when an 11-year-old boy took his father's pickup truck without permission and drove about 10 kilometers. He lost control and veered onto the roadside, hitting a procession of 35 pilgrims.

Five monks died at the scene, and five more succumbed to injuries in the hospital, bringing the death toll to 10. Over 20 people were injured, including a passerby.

According to local TV channel AmarinTV, the boy has developmental issues and is in severe shock. The grandmother said she tried to stop him but failed. The grandfather stated he never taught the boy to drive.

Under Thai law, children under 12 are not criminally liable. Police have launched an investigation into the parents' actions.
