Palestinians held a funeral procession on Sunday for 100 people whose bodies were recovered from beneath the rubble of destroyed homes in Gaza City's Zeitoun neighborhood. Similar mass recovery operations in recent weeks have retrieved more than 100 bodies of members of the Abu Shariah and Hassaniya families, killed in a single strike, and more than 500 from the al-Taj Tower site, officials and activists said. These operations highlight the ongoing challenge of recovering the dead amid the widespread devastation.

Gaza's Health Ministry says at least 73,651 Palestinians have been killed and 174,592 injured since October 2023. The figures are believed to be underreported, as many bodies are still trapped under debris. The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire, with limited access to food, water, and medical care.

The international community has repeatedly called for a ceasefire and the protection of civilians, but the Israeli regime has continued its military operations, claiming they target militant infrastructure. The United Nations has described the situation as a 'humanitarian catastrophe' and urged all parties to adhere to international law.
