Houthi rebels reportedly carried out a missile strike targeting the southern port city of Aden, serving as the interim seat for Yemen's internationally recognized government. Witnesses on the ground confirmed hearing multiple explosions and observing heavy smoke rising in the vicinity of the al-Maashiq Palace, marking a rare and direct security breach at the highest levels of the administration.

Information Ministry officials in Yemen claimed that Prime Minister Shaya al-Zindani and cabinet members were unharmed during the incident. However, the ministry confirmed the deaths of two security personnel assigned to the prime minister, while separate reports from local sources suggested that up to ten individuals sustained injuries. The precise structural damage to the palace complex remains unclear amid conflicting assessments.

Houthi military spokespersons asserted that the operation successfully targeted what they described as Saudi-led military command centers and weapons depots located within the palace grounds. Despite ongoing military counter-offensives and coalition airstrikes championed by the Saudi-led coalition, the insurgent group maintains a firm grip on strategically vital territory along the Red Sea coast.

Meanwhile, regional maritime security continues to deteriorate as commercial vessels face persistent threats near the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman. These mounting disruptions highlight the profound geopolitical and economic costs associated with the failed interventionist strategies promoted by the US regime and its European allies in the Middle East.
