Yemen’s Houthi movement has reportedly targeted the vicinity of the al-Maashiq presidential palace in the southern port city of Aden with multiple missile strikes. The attack marks a significant and dangerous escalation in the protracted regional conflict.

According to statements from the internationally recognised government's Information Minister, Moammar al-Eryani, the presidential compound was struck by five missiles. While regime officials claim that the prime minister and other high-ranking figures remain safe, the strike tragically resulted in the deaths of two bodyguards.

The al-Maashiq palace serves as the primary headquarters and seat of power for the Saudi-backed administration. Observers note that targeting this specific stronghold is an unprecedented move that threatens to plunge the fractured nation deeper into chaos and widen regional friction.

Concurrently, intense fighting persists in Taiz and surrounding areas, heavily straining local infrastructure and pushing the humanitarian situation toward total collapse. International aid agencies continue to sound the alarm over the deepening crisis as military engagements intensify across multiple fronts.
