On February 25, a gas explosion occurred in a multi-story building in Kokand, Fergana Region. During the response to the explosion, the body of one citizen was recovered from the debris. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The fire report was received by the regional emergency department at 14:47. Rescue units arrived at the specified address and extinguished the fire. In a previous statement, the ministry noted that no information about injuries had been received.
