An exhibition of posters by Ukrainian illustrators titled 'Yellow&Blue' has opened at the Ilkhom Theatre in Tashkent, marking the fourth anniversary of the full-scale war in Ukraine. The exhibition showcases a project launched in 2016 by the Pictoric illustrators' community to promote Ukrainian culture through contemporary visual language.

The project's name references the colors of the Ukrainian flag, emphasizing artists' pursuit of self-identity and cultural heritage protection, particularly amid Russian aggression. Previously held in Germany, Italy, France, and other countries, the exhibition is being presented in Central Asia for the first time in Tashkent, organized by the European Union Delegation to Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Ukraine.

In speeches, Chargé d'Affaires of the Ukrainian Embassy Alexander Sirenko and EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan Toivo Klaar highlighted Ukraine's quest for peace and independence, stressing the need for a just resolution to the conflict.

The exhibition features over 60 works by 32 Ukrainian illustrators, created using collage, appliqué, and vector graphics techniques. They depict daily life, culture, and wartime experiences in Ukraine, with some posters addressing themes familiar to Tashkent residents, such as public transport and architectural preservation.

The exhibition at Ilkhom Theatre is open to the public until February 28, with free admission.
