In Jizzakh Region, during an operational measure conducted by the State Security Service and prosecutor's office, illegal actions by a responsible education system official were uncovered.

According to reports, the head of the Preschool and School Education Department, abusing official authority, demanded 4.8 million soums from the head of a state preschool educational institution for not conducting an inspection.

Sources indicate that the official was caught red-handed while receiving the requested funds through extortion, with material evidence seized.

A criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 210, Part 2, Clause "c" (Receiving a bribe through extortion) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are currently underway.

Furthermore, preliminary investigation has revealed that the individual also committed other illegal acts under Articles 167 (Theft), 209 (Official Forgery), and 243 (Legalization of proceeds from criminal activity) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
