A delegation from Uzbekistan's Tax Committee is in Moscow to study the practice of tax control on incomes of bloggers and other individuals operating online, based on the experience of Russia's Federal Tax Service. The parties also discussed promoting the tax service brand, increasing transparency, and cooperating with the media community.
The Russian side presented service-oriented approaches in tax authorities' activities, including creating convenient services for taxpayers and simplifying procedures. This exchange of experience will help explore advanced solutions for potential application in Uzbekistan.
Recall that in 2025, new types of service activities in Uzbekistan, such as courier, legal, and blogging services, were officially accounted for and included in the GDP. As noted by National Statistics Committee Chairman Behzod Hamrayev, this sector requires careful consideration of the difference between informal and formal sectors.
The total volume of market services has been increased by 10.2 trillion soum. In calculating the blogger market, data from the Tax Committee was used, including only bloggers registered in the self-employed persons registry. Large bloggers operating through legal entities are not included in this category, so the actual volume of the blogger advertising market is much larger.
