Uzbekistan is considering the introduction of a unified tax account system, according to a statement from the press service of the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan.

The implementation mechanism was discussed during a working visit by the agency's delegation to Russia, where Uzbek representatives held negotiations with the Federal Tax Service of Russia.

As explained by the committee, the unified tax account consolidates all taxes and mandatory payments into a single system, simplifying calculations and administration. It is expected that taxpayers will be able to make a single payment using unified details and utilize standardized reporting deadlines.

The system's implementation is anticipated to streamline the tax payment process, make budget settlements more convenient, reduce the risk of erroneous payments and penalty accruals, and eliminate situations where taxpayers simultaneously have overpayments and debts for different types of taxes. Additionally, funds deposited into the account will be automatically credited towards tax obligations.

The Tax Committee noted that the exchange of experience with Russian colleagues aims to study advanced practices and apply them in developing the country's tax system.
